Welcome and thanks for stopping by! I'm Natasha, a Masters of Art Therapy student and visual artist that lives in Melbourne, Australia. I've been fortunate enough to be a creative for most of my life and strongly believe that art making is a beautiful and healing process. Some of what you will find on this site is a blog that explores my journey studying art therapy and a gallery featuring my artwork. I'm always open for commissions or requests for art pieces so please feel free to get in contact with me and I'd be delighted to create your ideal artwork.
A safe place
"Find a comfortable position and close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths and start to focus in on yourself. Blocking out external noises that can distract your thoughts. Imagine a safe place. Picture in your mind the detail. Is there rocks? Is there a body of water? Is there trees? Animals? Is it inside? Outside? Or both? See every detail in your mind. Stay here for a while, picturing yourself here and drawing a calm energy from this place. Take a few more deep breaths and come back to the room. Now pick up some art materials and make an image of this safe place. This is yours to keep."
My safe place is a blend of imagined and real. A beautiful home near the beach where we scattered my grandfather's ashes. A place where I can connect with him but also connect with nature.
